I have lived in Sainte-Catherine with my wife Lucie since 1996, a city where our three boys grew up and which has given us precious family moments through sports and community activities. I have also had the privilege of sharing our story as part of the Living Heritage initiative set up by the City. An accountant by training, I graduated from UQAM in 1991 and began my career in bankruptcy before specializing, in 1996, in audits for various federations affiliated with the Union des Producteurs Agricoles, through Veragrimar Inc., which I founded in 2002. For several years, I have been involved in managing maple syrup inventories in Quebec, a major economic sector representing hundreds of millions of dollars annually. My rigorous work led me to play a key role in uncovering the famous syrup theft—a case taken up by the Sûreté du Québec following my audits. Numbers, rules, and their application are part of my daily life. My volunteer work, particularly in minor hockey—as a coach and then president of the local association (2004-2016)—has always been in line with this approach: sound management, compliance with regulations, financial recovery, which led to a successful merger with the Candiac organization. In 2009, I helped found the Junior Slow Pitch League, a community project to which I contributed for over ten years, alongside Lucie, as a sponsor, administrator, and co-coach. Under our leadership, the league grew from 3 to 12 teams in 2019. 👉 As a candidate for city councillor with the Action Sainte-Catherine team, I am committed to: Sainte-Catherine deserves decisions based on transparency, facts, and rigorous management—it is in this spirit that I wish to get involved.
